Q: What are AttraSeek’s running requirements?
A: Enable cookies.
Q: What is an image?
A: An image is a file with the extension *.jpg, *gif, …. Currently, all navigation
images, thumbnails, and images less than 5K are ignored.
Q: How to download an image?
A:
- Go to a web site;
- Right click an image;
- Click ‘Save Picture As’ …
- Save to C:\temp\; now the image is saved in c:\temp. Double click it to see it.
Q: Why would you want to use AttraSeek?
- Razor sharp focus: if the image you are looking for is in the AttraSeek database,
it will lead you directly to the website that hosts the image. Only scores of 83%
or above are usually relevant.
- Some images cannot be described by key words.
- Some images, when described by key words, will yield millions of results making it
useless. For example, “girl", "dancing”, "drawing", "poster", "game", "card",
..., will yield a large amount of matches in all
other search engines.
- Images might not have accurate descriptions.
- Specialized applications, for example, copyright checking, reference.
Q: What are scores?
- Absolute match: 99% - 100%

- Some Similarities: <80% (currently not returned by AttraSeek).
Q: Why my site is not there?
A: Use “Add Url” button to add your site; otherwise it might take AttraSeek crawler
a long time to get to your site.
Q: Can you search Video?
A:
The difference between
video search and image search is that a video has a lot more images; and therefore
slower. AttraSeek will include video search at a later time.
Q: How to handle multiple images?
A: You can only search one image at a time; however, you can search multiple times.
Just load all of your images to a single folder in your computer first, say c:\temp\;
then search one image at a time from that folder.
